Most Americans ‘reacting in horror’ but many ‘not shocked’ by Trump assassination attempt

Sky News contributor Kristin Tate says most Americans are “reacting in horror” to the assassination attempt of Donald Trump however not many are shocked by it.

“Nobody should be shocked by this assassination attempt because left-wing leaders, including the President, have regularly told their constituents that Trump – and his supporters, by the way – are xenophobic, white nationalist Nazis,” Ms Tate told Sky News Australia host Paul Murray on Sunday evening.

“I mean Biden, Kamala Harris, the Obamas, regularly imply or straight out say that Trump is a racist as though it is a given fact.”

Former US president Donald Trump is recovering after being shot and injured in a failed assassination attempt at his recent rally.
