Hey everybody this is Michael J with This Old Car.  Ya know, The second generation Chevy Monte Carlo has got to be the best generation of all time. Now some may argue that the 4th generation was tops as well but hey, I’m a little older so I’m sticking to the second Gen.  

The Monte Carlo saw significant changes and improvements with its second generation, produced from 1973 to 1977. This period marked a transformative era for the Monte Carlo, both in terms of design and well performance.   It featured a more refined and luxurious design compared to its predecessor. It was built on the GM A-body platform but showcased a more pronounced, flowing body line and a longer, leaner profile.

To bring in the second gen, Chevy introduced the 1973 model with a new "Colonnade" body style, which eliminated the traditional B-pillars and replaced them with semi-fastback rear windows, giving the car a sleek, coupe-like appearance.
