This is a video about a boss fight in "Star Wars Rebels: Recon Missions", a side-scrolling run-and-gun game that is available on iOS, Android, Windows Phone and Windows Store.  It is based on the hit Disney XD TV show "Star Wars Rebels".

This is the first boss fight of the game against a TIE fighter in level 21 (the last level in Kanan's campaign), for those of you who want to quickly see all the boss battles in this game without having to watch all the walkthrough videos to find them.  I am playing as Ezra, since the other characters require in-app purchases.  Observe this video to learn how to defeat the TIE fighter, while taking note of the following:
- Be very careful during boss fights, since there are usually no other enemies that you can defeat to recover your health.  You are best advised to bring a bacta canister with you so that you can revive and get a second chance should your health deplete.  (Be aware that you can only revive once per try.)
- You have a better chance of beating a boss if you buy all health and ability upgrades and then collect the focus diamonds to activate your focus abilities.  In this case, you'll have to pick them up when the TIE fighter swoops down to perform an airstrike (indicated with a lock-on cursor).
- Stay on the opposite platform so that the TIE fighter will have a lot of trouble trying to shoot you, even if it means that it will be hard for you to shoot the TIE fighter.  Jump only when you need to, and watch out for the TIE fighter's diagonal shot as well.
- When the TIE fighter loses more than 50% of its health, it will fight harder by launching three consecutive airstrikes instead of two, and when it flies over to one side of the stage to shoot lasers out forward, it will sweep from top to bottom and bottom to top, as opposed to making a single pass.  Stay alert!
- After the TIE fighter finishes its airstrikes, it will then fly over to the top.  This is a brief window of opportunity for you to damage it before it goes over to one side to attack.
- Tactical strikes are useless against the TIE fighter, which is an odd peculiarity, since the Ghost can usually shoot down TIE fighters in the TV show.

While you're watching this video, here are some other things you may want to know about this game:
- The Android version is rated E10+ by the ESRB for fantasy violence.
- The game is split into 4 parts: Ezra's campaign (levels 1 - 6), Kanan's campaign (levels 7 - 21), Sabine's campaign (levels 22 - 36) and a final boss fight (level 37).
- As of now, Kanan and Sabine's campaigns can be played for free, but there will be a delay imposed before each level in those campaigns, which can last from two minutes to a full 24 hours.  This delay is handwaved by the claim that "the Ghost is refueling", although this won't explain how you're able to fly back over to previous levels.  One very important note you will need to remember here is that you need an Internet connection to START the delay countdown and once the countdown reaches zero, you will have to connect to the Internet once more to access the next level.
- You can watch ads to reduce the delay time, but sometimes, an ad may not be available, so you may have to check back later.  Have patience, young Jedi!
- The delays can only be removed by buying the Jedi, Mandalorian or Master packs as in-app purchases.
- Early versions of the game were free-to-start, in which only Ezra's campaign was playable, and the rest of the game had to be unlocked with an in-app purchase.  This design decision received so much backlash and negative feedback, so Disney decided to make all levels free with delays imposed on most levels, and with only 1 free character - Ezra Bridger.
- Although Kanan and Sabine can only be unlocked with in-app purchases, you can access their tutorials at the Haven to try these characters out.  At the Haven, talk to Kanan at the Ghost's launchpad after finishing Ezra's campaign and select the "lightsaber" or "proximity mine" tutorials.
- There are also some secret areas where some pickups are blocked off by a door that can only be opened with "double damage".  If you're playing as Ezra Bridger, you'll need to get the "exploding blaster bolts" boost by quickly collecting at least three booster diamonds, before trying to open the door.  Ahsoka sells this boost for 75,000 hope, but you'll need to buy the Rapid Fire (25,000 hope) and Reflecting Shots (50,000 hope) boosts before you can buy the exploding blaster bolts boost.
