DESCRIPTION
This video shows how to use my Android app, WildSpectra Mobile, as a "watch timing machine" to regulate the accuracy of a mechanical watch (e.g., a pocket watch).  Although WildSpectra Mobile is intended for more general purposes that watch regulation (it is primarily a real-time scrolling spectrogram app with short-duration recording capability), this video focuses exclusively on the watch regulation aspects of the app.

1. The method & tips summary at the end recommends using the 'Spectrum, dB' spectrum type setting.  While this setting appears to work well with mobile device microphones (cell-phones), I have found that tablet microphones often work better with the 'Spectrum, Power' spectrum type setting.  Achieving quality beat-detection may heavily depend on following this advice.
