This vintage pizza recipe belongs to Petrona C. de Gandulfo, better known as "Doña Petrona", Argentina's most famous cook, best-selling cookbook author, home economist, television chef and businesswoman. Here are the ingredients for 2 home style pizzas:
THE DOUGH:
500 gr all purpose flour
250 ml warm water (plus 6 tbsp for dissolving the yeast)
25 gr fresh yeast (7 gr instant dry yeast)
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tsp of salt
TOPPING:
500 gr whole peeled tomatoes
1 onion finely diced
8 anchovy fillets
20 green or black olives
1 tsp dry chili flakes
1 tsp dry oregano
90 gr (about 172 a cup) vegetable oil
1/2 tsp of salt
