How Appaling

The plaintiff was engaged to the defendant's mother. Unfortunately, she passed away, but no one could afford to pay funeral expenses. The plaintiff agreed to charge the funeral expenses to his credit card with the agreement the defendant would pay him back. The defendant refuses to pay the plaintiff back, so he's suing. The defendant lived with the plaintiff and her mother before she died, and she says the plaintiff offered to pay for the funeral himself.
