Today I'd like to teach you how to create a storyboard for your video shoot. I'm going to make it really simple in just 3 easy steps so keep watching.

Storyboards are extremely useful tools for planning videos. To be effect, they don't have to be complex or detailed, in-fact most of the time mine simply look like poorly drawn comic book.

The planning of your video is vitally important and often overlooked, but I guarantee that your videos will be more structured and watchable if you make a quick storyboard to follow.

So here are the 3 steps to creating video storyboard:

1. Get a Storyboard Thumbnail sheet. You can find one by doing a Google search or you can follow the link in the description of this video to download one from my website. This simple structure will help you put ideas on paper.
2. Decide what kind of shots you need for each part of the script. You should think about location, camera movement, and framing for each scene.
3. Turn the script into corresponding drawing on the Thumbnail sheet. This will help you decide what the video will look like during different parts of videos whereas a script will only outline what will be said in the video.
