Madrid Atocha Station Luggage Storage (CLOSED - SEE BELOW for alternatives)

I walked by this area
I walked by this area in Atocha Station in April 2024 and the structure where this luggage consignment was located was demolished and going under construction (whether a new luggage consignment will be built there is not clear). There are 2 or 3 places nearby you can store your luggage. Here's one I have used in 2021 and 2023:

It's a 3 min walk from the station (from the station's atrium, use the exit next to Mahoudrid restaurant, head left, and it's about a block away). Instructions (in multiple languages) posted at the location are fairly straight forward; this location also takes credit card. Plus, their website (see Google Maps link above for website URL) shows locker dimension and allows you to reserve a locker. I didn't make a reservation; this place is much smaller than the station lockers, so if you are visiting on a busy travel time, it might be wise to reserve in advance.
