Wiwaxia - The Cambrian Hedgehogs

Cambrian animals continue to amaze, with their unusual features and confusing taxonomy making them some of the most fascinating of all prehistoric animals. One such animal was Wiwaxia, a genus of soft-bodied animals that look quite similar to a living pineapple that possessed large spines and scales, very likely for protection against the at the time recent development of large carnivores.
