On August 26th, 2005, Kenenisa Bekele ran a 26:17 for the 10,000 meters. This time broke his previous world record by 3 seconds, and to this day, this achievement has stood as the World Record for almost 15 years.
This single performance is perhaps the most impressive 10,000 meter moment in history, but what made it possible? Was it his training? Was it the energy from the crowd?
