23.01.24: This dryer has since been replaced with a June 2021 Airforce. I am unsure if the dryer in this video was actually totalled, since some fixtures from before the toilet refurbishment still remain. See this post for more information: Post

When you think of something happening between filming and uploading a dryer, it’s normally one of two things - either failure, or replacement. But neither of them things happened here, and instead, it unfortunately got totalled in a fairly big fire, along with approximately ten others.

Along with all of the dryers, the KONE MonoSpace has likely had it too, since sprinklers would’ve activated, causing water damage in addition to the fire damage.

The cause of the fire is still unknown, but by the looks of things, it started in the clothing section.

To add to the likelihood of the dryers being totalled, one of the new articles stated that there was apparently severe internal smoke damage.

Despite this large fire, the store re-opened under 48 hours after the fire, however I’m guessing that it was only the food side of the store.

I managed to lose the original picture of the dryer, so I was originally just going to use one of the auto-generated ones, however it ended up being the perfect opportunity to use a photo of the fire.

Here are a couple of my Community posts about the fire:

Out of the other toilets on this floor, the baby room had a mint PHS, and the male toilets had a Warner Howard which I didn’t run. I have no idea what distributor combination the downstairs toilets had, since I only ever went in them once, and that was before I was interested in dryers.

I do wonder if they’re going to put in a bunch of brand new Airforces, be crazy and attempt to salvage these, or put in something different.

This dryer didn’t have the best sounding startup, and the air wasn’t at peak power.

I don’t recall there being any EcoBREEZE units in the toilets here, which I’d expect given that this is one of their eastern flagship stores.

I guess you could say that Sainsbury’s are so green that their stores go up in flames. Or “Helping everyone breathe better”.

The decibel readings are not scientific or 100% accurate, they're simply to give you an idea of how loud the dryer is whilst using it.
