This video is a documentary about the history of Lyttelton, ranging from about 1350 until 2022. The discovery by James Cook, the first settlers, the history of its famous port and of its tunnel. I also show how it is to live in the town today. Lyttelton is the largest town on Lyttelton Harbour, an inlet on the north-western side of Banks Peninsula. It is located in the Canterbury Region, in the South Island of New Zealand. The peninsula formed about 10 million years ago, from two volcanoes. It used to be an island, before time and erosion transformed it's landscape to what it is today. I did all the research, script, location scouting, filming, narrating, editing, all by myself. It has taken about 40 hours of work in total. It is also my first documentary ever, so I know it is far from perfect. Please leave a comment and help me improve ! Much appreciated ! La découverte par James Cook, les premiers colons, l’histoire de son célèbre port et de son tunnel. Je montre aussi comment c’est de vivre dans la ville aujourd’hui. Lyttelton est la plus grande ville du port de Lyttelton, une crique située au nord-ouest de la péninsule Banks. Il est situé dans la région de Canterbury, dans l’île du Sud de la Nouvelle-Zélande. La péninsule s’est formée il y a environ 10 millions d’années, à partir de deux volcans. C’était une île, avant que le temps et l’érosion ne transforment son paysage en ce qu’il est aujourd’hui. J’ai fait toutes les recherches, le scénario, le repérage, le tournage, la narration, le montage, tout seul. Il a fallu environ 40 heures de travail au total, réparti sur 2 semaines. C’est aussi mon premier documentaire, donc je sais qu’il est loin d’être parfait. S’il vous plaît laissez un commentaire et aidez-moi à m’améliorer ! Merci bien !
