Statistics 101: Controlling Type II Error using Sample Size.
How can Type II error be controlled in the same manner as Type I error? In a single sample hypothesis test, we can declare Type II error in the same way as Type I error. To make the two error regions align we will have to alter the standard error of the sampling distribution using sample size. Several visuals and an example are provided so you can see exactly what is happening. Enjoy!
