At Cheetah Experience, there is
At Cheetah Experience, there is one tiger, Fushan, a Siberian Tiger. He was given to the breeding center when he was a cub and got to know much of the staff. He left some time later but has returned.
I spent some time with him to get to know him. I have no experience with tigers but thought he might be like any cat and does have many of the personality of a cat, but something else. A sense of territoriality like a tiger.
Fushan does not like me or many people he does not know. He would always stalk me when walking by his enclosure so
I thought I would ease tensions between us by walking and talking with him everyday. I don't think I got through to him and probably would take much longer than my few weeks I spent at CE.
He has hip dysplasia and needs surgery on his back left hip. At 3.5 years old, he must wait until his bone growth is finished before he can have surgery. At least 4 years. Where he goes after there is unknown to me.
