Kandace Springs feat. by WDR BIG BAND - Afro Blue

The WDR Big Band features the American singer Kandace Springs with the song "Black Orchid", composed by C: Jesse Harris. Vince Mendoza arranged the tune and leads the WDR Big Band at the 39th "International Leverkusener Jazztage". Rhanij Krija introduces the song "Afro Blue" (C:  Mongo Santamaria A: Vince Mendoza) on the percussions. Solos are played by Ruud Breuls on trumpet and  Ludwig Nuss on trombone.

Kandace Springs has demonstrated with her debut album Soul Eyes (2016)  released by Blue Note a refined mix of R&B, jazz and pop. Her natural voice is convincing in all musical directions.
