In drawing, in order to obtain credible and pleasant hair, we need to work with these tools: calm, a spirit of observation, a lot of time available, precision and, lastly, pencils, smudges and rubber. :) my personal sequence every time I have to reproduce hair.
First of all calm and cold-blooded and then the pencils: D

The secret is to simplify the complexity of the work with patterns and shapes. Addressing the hair with the right approach and a good dose of patience will make everything seem easier, indeed ...
