How to play SEAMLESS Coop in Elden Ring! (Character Setup) [MOD]

🔥 Here's a full tutorial on getting a character ready to play Seamless Coop in Elden Ring!✅ 👍

The Seamless Co-op mod is in an early beta state. As a result, there are many kinks to work out before it becomes fully stable, and a few bugs that are, as of now, unavoidable - as well as a lot of desync issues in regards to world/NPC states and the like. However, there are a number of practices/workarounds that you can engage with to help keep everything running smoothly. Here are the things I recommend:
BEFORE CO-OP:
• Start the game. Do not kill the Grafted Scion, but I do recommend completing the tutorial cave and picking up the emote.
• Activate the "First Step" grace, exhaust Varre's dialogue and activate the first Summoning Pool.
• Avoid unnecessary interactions (fighting bosses, interacting with NPCs or activating any superfluous Sites of Grace, etc.)
• Meet Melina at the Gatepoint Ruins and receive Torrent.
• Meet Ranni at the Church of Elleh to receive the Spirit Calling Bell.
• Activate the very first grace in Liurnia to trigger the Roundtable Hold teleport.
By the end of this process, you should not have spoken to any NPCs aside from Varre, Melina & Ranni, you shouldn't have encountered any bosses, you shouldn't have picked up any items (aside from the aforementioned emote and the vanilla multiplayer items), and you should only have 7 Sites of Grace on your map (Cave of Knowledge, Stranded Graveyard, The First Step, Church of Elleh, Gatefront, Lake-Facing Cliffs & Roundtable Hold)
THINGS TO AVOID:
• Do not teleport to the Roundtable Hold under any circumstances while in co-op.
• Do not activate any Evergaols, they are currently bugged.
• Do not activate any Great Rune at a Divine Tower while in co-op. Fully disconnect and do it solo.
• Do not pick up any "lootable" emotes while in co-op. Fully disconnect and pick it up in your solo world.
• Do not perform any unique NPC interactions while in co-op (freeing Alexander, etc.) as it will cause desync.
• Do not sit at a Site of Grace while another player is riding Torrent.
• Do not sit at a Site of Grace while any player is fighting a boss.
• Do not sit at a Site of Grace until all players have interacted with quest-related NPCs (characters that tend to move).
• Do not sit at a Site of Grace while another player is trading with an NPC.
• [ERR] Allow the host to activate the chosen difficulty setting first, before any wanderers do it.
STABILITY ADVICE:
• If you must go to the Roundtable Hold, make sure that you disconnect fully from the co-op session.
• If you want to do a step in any questline that requires a unique interaction, have every player do it solo.
• Try not to travel too far away from each-other. Staying within the same region helps to avoid desync issues.
• Try and engage every boss alongside all other players in the session, and don't trigger more than one boss fight at a time.
• Establish a static co-op group and stick with it. If you want to play with new people, set up a new character.
• Do your best to not make any significant progress when playing solo. Stay in-sync with your chosen co-op group.
• When playing solo, stick to basic gameplay such as farming runes/loot, collecting crafting items, etc.
• Designate only one person within your co-op group to be the host. Try and choose someone with good internet.
HOW TO "PROPERLY" DISCONNECT:
• Have all "wanderer" players (those who are not the session host) disconnect first via the Seperating Mist.
• As the host, use the Seperating Mist to finalize the disconnection.
• As the host, disable your session using the Tiny Great Pot.
• As the host, use the Seperating Mist again (sometimes it doesn't work the first time).
• Have every player sit at a Site of Grace to save the game.
• Have every player quit to the main menu and/or exit the game entirely, if you want to be safe.
• When you wish to play together again, reconnect as normal.
