Taken aboard Amfleet I 82630 with P32AC-DM #704 leading and P42DC #101 attached in Albany
Gotta do one of these Hudson River rides every year, the foliage is amazing. We start directly opposite the Palisades Cliffs then wind our way through Bear Mountain and Breakneck Ridge before arriving at Poughkeepsie, the end of the line for Metro-North. From there we enter CSX trackage and fly through the Catskills and swamps of the upper Hudson at 90 and 110 mph before arriving in Rensselaer, NY. Great ride with minimal delays, even with the mudslide the previous week halting all Amtrak service on the line.
