Zebra finch of flood plains

Travelling to the Darling River Flood plain is a 9-hour trip from the coast of NSW. The grassland of the flood plain is a thermometer for wellbeing of the dryland feathered seed eaters. After floods and the preceding drought the Zebra Finch flock size are examined as a measure of their endurance,
