Race footage and commentary from Round 1 of the British National MTB XC series at Tong. This was a seriously technical and challenging course, which I massively struggled with and it was also an absolute mud bath.
I had mechanical problems from lap 1 with my gears jumping due to the mud, which meant my chain kept dropping. It was a huge mental battle staying focused and trying to race hard when these problems kept happening, but I didn't give up and came away with a podium in 3rd place.
On to round 2 at Margam Park!
