NO DISRESPECT INTENDED AGAINST IAN MCCOLLUM; HE IS A GOD AMONG MEN

The MAC 31 (Manufacture d'Armes Chatellerault Modele 1931, also known as the Reibel Machine Gun) was a heavy variant of the French Mle 1924 light machine gun for use in armoured vehicles and fortifications, while the MAC 34 was a version of the MAC 31 modified for use in aircraft. These two examples, part of the collection of the Fort Garry Horse museum in Winnipeg, were fitted with improvised ground mounts by the Germans and used in the defence of the Atlantic Wall.
