Practical use in agriculture On shallow cultivated pastures it is difficult to carry out any soil preparation. Here it is ideal to use a direct seeed drill. If there are rocks and stones just under the turf, this does not matter as the spring loaded sowing skies will easily ride over such obstacles. The seed drill is also well suitable for sowing special seed sorts into excisting cultures, as for example clover in a clover-poor meadow. It is also suitable for sowing herbs and other green-production.
