Chords at the piano will sound better or worse depending on: how close or far apart the notes are, and what register you play them in. For example, when playing in the lower register, chords will sound best when their notes are spread far apart. To get a "sparkle" quality, play notes that are close together in the middle register. And to make your chords "pop" use perfect intervals like 4ths and 5ths in the upper register.

In this video I demonstrate how you can exploit each of the registers of the piano so that your chords can sound fuller, brighter and are much more interesting to play. For accompanying sheet music and backing tracks visit my Patreon page: Patreon: PianoPerfect
