Teach Your Dog to Hold Something

Here is a quick video of the beginning stages of teaching your pup to hold something in their mouth.

In the beginning we are just looking for them to show interest in the object, like booping their nose to it. Then we want to see if they will start to put the toy in their mouth and then we can add a cue.

Try using a longer toy so that you can hold on to it when you are first teaching this.
