I'm going to teach you a really strong fingering for the A-Major scale. A-Major has three sharp notes. So we have C-Sharp, F-Sharp and G-Sharp. The rest of them are just the normal note names. We start on "A" with the open string. "B" is the second fret. C-Sharp is the fourth fret. Now we have open "D". "E" is the second fret on the "D" string. F-Sharp is the fourth fret on the "D" string. G-Sharp is the first fret on the "G" string. And now "A". Second fret on the "G" string. And that's the A-Major scale on the bass guitar.
