Spain's heir to the throne Princess Leonor attended the Military Easter ceremony at the Royal Palace on Saturday (January 6) for the first time with her father King Felipe.
Leonor, who was wearing her military uniform, joined the military academy in Zaragoza in September and, on turning 18 on October 31, she pledged allegiance to the Spanish constitution, clearing the way for her to succeed her father should something happen to him.
Spain's Military Easter ceremony, known in Spanish as "Pascua Militar," is celebrated every year on January 6th and marks the beginning of the military calendar year.
