Back in 1999, Faye Wong
Back in 1999, Faye Wong covered The Carpenters' version of "Please Mr. Postman" and their classic "Top of the World" live on the popular Taiwanese entertainment show, Super Sunday. Co-host Harlem Yu sang backup.
She was there to promote her 1999 album Only Love Strangers(只愛陌生人).
She was styled in the fashion of her "Overthrown"(推翻) MV, with an adornment on her left ring finger.
I think she did a spectacular job, more so since English is her third language. She somehow made these songs even cuter! Karen Carpenter would be proud.
