Homemade ways to save money ~ Handmade hacks ~ Money Saving DIYs

Make sure to check that out if you are at all looking for some new home accents. 😊 MY NEW PRODUCT LINE: www.visitthepeddler.com/ CEREAL RECIPE: 6 cups rolled oats 1 cup chopped pecans 1 1/2 cup shredded coconut 1/4 cup melted butter 1/2 cup olive oil 1/2 cup maple syrup 1/4 cup brown sugar (or succanet) 1 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon vanilla Mix the first three ingredients together in a large mixing bowl. Mix the remaining ingredients together and pour over the dry mixture. Mix well. Pour the granola in a parchment paper lined pan. Bake at 300 degrees for around 45 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and cool before putting into containers. HOMEMADE SUET: 1 cup lard or bacon grease 1 cup peanut butter 2 cups rolled oats 2 cups cornmeal 1 cup flour 1/3 cup white sugar For a crumbly suet, mix together cold. For a compact suet, melt the lard and peanutbutter. HOMEMADE ROOTBEER: Put 1 cup white sugar in a two quart jar. Add 4 teaspoons rootbeer extract. Fill jar with lukewarm water. Add 1/2 teaspoon dry yeast. Put in sun for four hours.
