Learn how to recover your Bitcoin Cash from a paper wallet with this easy-to-follow guide.
If you created a Bitcoin Paper Wallet with a password (BIP38 encrypted) before August 1st 2017, this video will help you retrieve your Bitcoin Cash.
To ensure you have Bitcoin Cash (BCH) on your wallet, use a Bitcoin Cash blockchain explorer like https://blockchair.com/ to check your public key.
If you have spent all your Bitcoin (BTC) after August 1st, your Bitcoin wallet will show a null balance on a Bitcoin (BTC) blockchain explorer. However, if you kept some Bitcoin on a paper wallet until after August 1st, you should see the equivalent amount of Bitcoin (BTC) you had just before August 1st 2017 on a Bitcoin Cash (BCH) blockchain explorer.
We recommend using "Electron Cash," a Bitcoin Cash wallet that you can install on your computer to retrieve your Bitcoin Cash. Download the Electron Cash Wallet at http://www.electroncash.org/ for maximum security.
Please note that the website commonly used to create paper wallets is https://www.bitaddress.org. If you want to use it offline, Download the compressed .zip file at the bottom left of the page.
