My thoughts on the 2006 Ford F-250 with the 5.4L V8 engine, and 4 speed automatic transmission:

It’s no secret that Ford trucks are the best selling vehicles in America. From an outside prospective I can see how absurd that may sound, but from behind the wheel of one: it’s easy to see why.

The 2006 Ford F-250 has a 5.4L v8 making around 300 horsepower. While it’s no speed demon, the 5.4L has the sheer grunt needed to haul and tow heavy loads. No, it’s not a diesel, but to be honest I didn’t really care. Paired with the beefed up suspension, higher ride height, and front locking hubs, the F-250 is ready for any task you throw at it.

Even though this F-250 is the “Lariet” edition, the interior is the weak point of this truck. Yes, it’s comfortable, but everything else is pulled right out of the Ford parts bin, making your once pricy do-it-all truck share parts with a beat-to-hell 2001 Ford Taurus. Ford has never been awarded anything for their interiors, so don’t think I’m picking on the F-250.

I was impressed by all that the F-250 can do. With the locking hubs, 4 wheel drive, and beefed up suspension, you can do anything you want in an F-250. That’s why so many people buy trucks. People don’t want limitations, and the F-250 doesn’t have any.
