How To Build A Sinew Backed Hickory Short Bow

The bow in this video is a sinew backed hickory shortbow. My previous bow video received far more views and interest than I anticipated, and many people wanted more information on my process. So in today’s video I’ll be going over the basics of how I achieved that build, demonstrating the methods on a similar bow. The first bow of this style was 50” tip to tip and pulled 65 pounds at 25” of draw. This bow is also 50” long and pulls 60 pounds at 25”.
