Hong Kong police fire tear gas at protesters on China’s National Day

Tear gas was fired in several locations across Hong Kong on Tuesday (Oct 1) as protesters hit the streets in unsanctioned rallies, setting up the likelihood of clashes with police who locked down the city centre.
