Chinch Gulachi Aamti – a classic Maharashtrian lentils preparation. Chinch means tamarind and gul means jaggery in Marathi. Chinch Gulachi Aamti literally translates to lentil curry with tamarind and jaggery. The word Aamti means a curry made with a sour ingredient. Chinch Gulachi Aamti is a simple recipe which gets made quickly. I, Vanita am a Mangalorean, married to a Maharashtrian. Hence, you will find a lot of Mangalorean and Maharashtrian recipes on this channel. Besides Mangalorean and Maharashtrian recipes, you will also find recipes from other regions of India, especially age old recipes that you will not find on restaurant menus, recipes that are on the verge of getting forgotten. I have an affinity for traditional/regional recipes and am always looking out for such recipes, trying them in my kitchen and if it works for me, I post it here. This is a miniscule attempt on my part to preserve these recipes for the generations to come. So, like me, if you are fond of traditional/ regional recipes, join me in my journey of exploring Indian cuisine. Do subscribe to my channel and leave your feedback in the comments section. It encourages me to create new videos and post it in this space. Thank you Vanita #vanitascorner #maharashtrianrecipes #aamti
