The Philippines, combining all its islands, may seem small, but it's actually
quite big. If you compare it to Finland, they are almost the same size, with
both being around 300,000 square kilometers.
But visually, at first, you might think the Philippines isn't very large.
However, when you consider their population of 118.5 million, it's a
different story. They have the 13th largest population in the world, which
is nearly the same as the combined populations of Turkey (85 million),
New Zealand (5 million), and Venezuela (28 million).
Just the island of Luzon alone (64 million) has a population greater
(52.5%) than the rest of the Philippines combined (57 million). This shows
that even though the Philippines may not be huge in land area, it is
definitely big in terms of its population.
