Making a Chanel Jacket - This may be one of my biggest sewing journeys yet. Making a Chanel Jacket with authentic couture techniques has already proven to be challenging as the information isn't easy to find.

Luckily I came across Claire Shaeffer's books on couture sewing to guide my choices in construction techniques. She has an abundance of knowledge about couture after studying original garments from vintage collections and museums. While using tweeds, boucles, silk linings, and silk thread for button holes are some of the first secrets I uncovered, I will be sharing many more as I go along.
