The outer bands of Tropical
The outer bands of Tropical Depression 9 (later Tropical Storm Harold) arrived at the Dustups Ranch early. The storm moved up the Rio Grande River Valley and started dumping rain in the Indio Mountains before arriving on my ranch.
In this episode, I'm lucky enough to:
See the dirt bathtubs completely fill up with water
See the check dams in action
Watch the Miyawaki Forest get its first heavy dose of rain just days after planting
Give you a walking tour between the dirt bathtubs and the test gabion
And at the end, I unfortunately held the need to draw my firearm. I was pretty spooked!
