SY Cable is Not Armoured, Not for Outside Use

An example of some SY cable which had been used outside and underground.  The outer covering is degraded and cracked, the inner steel braid is rusting away.

SY cable isn't suitable for use outside, it is not an armoured cable, despite many people using it like that.
