A classic set of reels
A classic set of reels from the Professor. On the piano is Tom Banks. This recording was originally issued on the Columbia label (33540-F), but this XR restoration was done on a Regal Zonophone copy (G22667).
Interestingly, Morrison plays the final reel in the key of A major. Lord Wellington's reel is more commonly known as Sheehan's reel today, and is typically played in G major. The key of A lets Morrison show off his technical abilities with quick shifts into the higher positions on the fiddle.
