The "Hungry Brit Abroad" series is back! This week we are in Tanjong Karang, Selangor to try a unique menu that is popular in rice paddy lowlands.
Paddy Eeels, also known as "lindung" (Monopterus albus) us a type of freshwater fish and a valuable part of the freshwater ecosystem.
This type of eel can be eaten, fried or cooked with a variety of sauces and curries.
Today we are at "De Lesung Sup Belut" to find out for ourself the process of preparing and cooking eels. We'll be trying a variety of different menus, including Eel Soup and Eel cooked with Birds Eye Chili.
