The Israeli army has released
The Israeli army has released video it says shows soldiers fighting in Gaza.
Ground troops are seen clearing buildings, firing weapons and flying drones. Further video shows Israeli aerial strikes said to be on Hamas targets in Gaza.
Despite launching a number of rescue operations, only one hostage has been freed by Israeli troops, and pressure from the families on Binyamin Netanyahu’s government to prioritise their loved ones is growing. The head of Mossad met the Qatari prime minister in a European capital over the weekend, but many believe that every day of further violence puts the hostages more at risk.
Over a dozen more hostages have been declared dead since the temporary truce ended. Three of them were killed by Israeli soldiers in Gaza City on Friday morning, after being “misidentified as Hamas spotters”, despite waving a white flag.
