How to Play 2 Players on Same TV in COD Modern Warfare 3 (Split Screen)

To play split-screen on Modern Warfare 3 for Xbox Series X, you will need an additional controller or a keyboard and mouse. Here are the steps to follow:

Launch Modern Warfare 3 on your Xbox Series X.
From the main menu, select Multiplayer.
Connect the additional controller or keyboard and mouse to your Xbox Series X.

Once connected, the second player should press the prompted button to join the game. The button is A for Xbox controllers, X for PlayStation controllers, and Space for keyboard and mouse.

If the second player has an Xbox or PlayStation profile, they can link it to the console. Otherwise, they can play without one.
Split-screen multiplayer is only supported in certain game modes. Here is a list of supported game modes:

Search And Destroy
Headquarters
Kill Confirmed
Hardpoint
Prisoner Rescue
Domination
Team Deathmatch
Knock Out

Unfortunately, split-screen multiplayer is not supported in all game modes. Most notably, players won’t be able to play split-screen multiplayer for Spec Ops, Free-For-All, Ground War, and Invasion. If a player tries to join one of these game modes while on split-screen, the game will warn them that player two must disconnect
