It seriously blows my mind how a game's difficulty and the difficulty of covering that game's music is co-relational, in almost every case! This game was no exception. Syncopated leads out the ASS, many that I couldn't wrap my head completely around in the short time frame I had for this medley. Very interesting note choices and bass licks all at blistering speeds! Such an amazing soundtrack that's haunted me since playing this game from the series many years back. I've actually since deciding on this medley replaying it on my 3DS since it's on the Virtual Console along with the two sequels! Check them out!
Tragedy hit this week, and it hit my dear Line 6 Pod HD Pro. Because of a flash memory update and my back up drives still ceasing to cooperate, all my tones were lost in the blink of an installation bar. Should have moved the backups to my new external hard drive, but these things happen. I spent a huge part of this past week recreating ALL of my guitar tones and it got seriously taxing. Listening to my recent covers though, these tones in some ways could be a huge upgrade, but still need work in other areas. On the mixing side of things, I've come to the decision that I rely on compression way too much. Time for that to change. Hope you guys enjoy the product of way too much work in way too few hours to do it in! :D
Can you believe it's already almost April? I feel like I just uploaded the Prelude Final Fantasy cover a few weeks ago! Just a little over two months left in Year 3! Getting excited now! Big favorite from my childhood coming up next week!
