DIY How to Clear or
DIY How to Clear or Reset the Maintenance Required "MAINT REQG" light on your 2013-2016 Toyota RAV4 or ANY Toyota that has the "DISP" button. Usually the cars that have the DISP button don't have the little knob for ODO / TRIP A / TRIP B, so this way you press and hold the DISP button after pressing the Start button twice.
Start car because you have to have your ODO set to TRIP A. Once Set turn off the car.
Make sure display shows TRIP A, if not you have to change to TRIP A.
Then press and Hold the DISP button
Press the start button twice (do not press the brake pedal)
Keep holding the DISP button until the lines stop flashing.
The steps are the same if you have the little knob on the instrument cluster. Instead of the DISP light you just press and hold the little knob for the TRIP / ODO
This is also known as the oil change light. These steps will work on ANY Toyota with this similar setup like Highlander, Tacoma, Tundra, Rav4, Sequoia, 4Runner, Avalon, Camry and others
