GE2020: Workers’ Party claims Sengkang GRC in upset win

The Workers’ Party (WP) pulled off an upset victory in Sengkang Group Representation Constituency (GRC), winning 52.13 per cent of the vote against a People’s Action Party (PAP) team consisting of three former political office-holders.

WP’s team comprised Ms He Ting Ru, 37, who was taking part in her second elections, and three other first-time candidates: Associate Professor Jamus Lim, 44, Ms Raeesah Khan, 26, and Mr Louis Chua, 33.
