Bioshock Infinite's story NEEDS explaining, even 10 years after its release. The sequel to the original Bioshock and conclusion of the trilogy, Bioshock Infinite's story covers a great many things - alternate realities, doorways through space and time, a city in the sky... but is centered around a father's relationship with his daughter.
But is Bishock Infinite's story well told? How much is easily understood on the surface, and how much is found by searching through the darker corners of Columbia? Should Bioshock Infinite's story be criticised for hiding key bits of information within its voxophones?
In this video, I revisit Bioshock Infinite's story in the moment, retelling the high-level plot points before breaking down the story once all the pieces are lined up. And then, we talk about how, exactly, Bioshock Infinite's story is told, whether it did it well, and how it compares to Bioshock 1 and Bioshock 2.
