Hi guys and thank you for joining me to see how I made this top-down V-collar strap cardigan without a single seam from start to finish.
This cardigan is made for XS size.
The length of the cardigan is: 61 cm
Widths: 43.5 cm
Raglan line in a front: 23 cm
Raglan line in a back: 29 cm
¾ sleeves in length (measured from the strap): 58 cm
¾ sleeve in length (measured from the underarm): 36 cm
Sleeves' width is (at the underarm): 46 cm
Sleeve’s width (end): 20 cm
Strap width: 6 cm
Yarn: 12 balls 50 g each (600 g)
New Master from Yarna: 80% merino wool, 20 % acrylic
Colour: Green Grass
Needles: 4.5 mm interchangeable Cubic’s needles with a few cords
Markers
Crochet Hook 2.5 mm and 1.75 mm
I knitted with the Garter Stitch pattern with twisted loops body of the project and I used a strawberry pattern for my oversized sleeves.
You’ll see how I started a raglan cardigan, shaped neck and shoulder lines with short rows, divided loops for sleeves and body, cast on underarm stitches and finished the final project.
I included a couple of diagrams and charts as and illustrations for my calculations and planning before knitting.
I usually make a gauge swatch before starting a project. This time my swatches didn’t change in sizes am much and I did a slight adjustment only in the beginning.
