CONGO | "Our future will be surviving, not living"

We have noticed an alarming increase in the mortality rate of malnourished children in MSF-supported facilities in and around Masisi, DRC. In the last two months the mortality rate increased from 6.4% to 8%. Because of insecurity, which hinders rural activities and makes it difficult for families to access health care, children come to our therapeutic feeding centers at an advanced stage of malnutrition, and when their situation is too critical, even our best care is not enough.
