Yet another amazingly beautiful aria
Yet another amazingly beautiful aria (Pace, pace, mio Dio. "Peace, peace, my God.") from the Opera "Forza del destino" (The Power of Fate) from the great Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi, which was first performed in Russia in 1862.
This accompaniment is the piano reduction of the orchestra, and feels very different from the sustaining instruments in the original orchestral music, but still manages to carry the feel and mood of the original. The piano reduction is slightly different from the one posted.
As suggested by my friend, I have based my tempo and performance on the recording with Montserrat Caballé and The Wiener Staatsoper. with conductor M. A. Gómez-Martínez, performance of 1979.
