What are prepositions? (and how to learn them) | Basic/Intermediate ESL

What are prepositions? This video defines prepositions and explains why sometimes they are confusing for ESL students or language learners. It also includes a couple of good ways to learn them without getting stressed  out over them. (More ways to learn prepositions are presented in another video.)
Prepositions can be difficult enough for English-language learners, and sometimes they make it even more difficult and frustrating than it needs to be. When you focus on learning the meaning of a preposition as it is used in context (rather than obsessing over them), things get a little easier. Before memorizing long lists of preposition that go with adjectives, adverbs, verbs, nouns, and so on, understand what these function words are and how they work in English.
