An Old, Small Sensor Camera - Any Good These Days?

Being a big fan of older cameras I thought I'd have a go at using my ancient Panasonic LX5 on a landscape shoot with the intention of making some A2 prints.  The weather was 'interesting' but I did manage a variety of shots and returned to my office full of hope.

Was this old camera up to job and will it be going out on future trips?
